In conjunction with Ikon Pack, we have developed a range of quality products which are biodegradable, compostable or recyclable, which give back to the earth rather than damage it. Ikon Pack is proud to be a member of the vision-ary organisation, the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), which supports our commitment to work with our manufacturers to keep packaging out of landfill. Our recyclable range is aimed at the circular econo-my and includes products made using recycled material.

Biodegradable and Home Compostable Packaging

MBL's range includes fully certified and home compostable takeaway containers, meat and food trays, produce bags and vacuum bags verified by standard AS 5810-2010. Launched by the Australasian Bioplastics Association (ABA), the Home Compostable Verification Scheme, which is in operation throughout Australia and New Zealand, clearly identifies and differentiates packaging materials as biodegradable and home compostable.

The scheme uses a symbol to identify that the product's claims of biodegradability and home compostability as per AS 5810-2010 has been verified. When it comes to packaging that is compostable, make sure to look for the Home Compostable Verification logo.
