Master Butchers Co-operative Ltd, (commonly known throughout the trade as MBL), was formed as a Co-operative in 1905 by South Australian Butchers to service the Meat Industry in a variety of operations.Master Butchers Co-operative Ltd, (commonly known throughout the trade as MBL), was formed as a Co-operative in 1905 by South Australian Butchers to service the Meat Industry in a variety of operations.
The operations are divided up into a number of trading departments and Divisions as follows:
- Merchandise - Manufacture, importation, warehousing and distribution of a wide range of general merchandise, ingredients, and packaging materials for the Meat and Bakery Industries. Product and recipe development, problem solving, technical advice, merchandising assistance, for the Meat and Bakery Industries.
- Equipment - Sales of new and used food processing machinery. Sales of parts and accessories for a wide range of machinery.
- By Products - Collection and processing of fat, bones, and mixed abattoir material from our members in modern environmentally sound plant, to produce tallow and meat and bone meal, which is sold on the local and export markets.
